1968

Each month a new display is showcased on a variety of themes and topics. This month, we are looking back 50 years at the tumultuous time of 1968. America was at war abroad in Vietnam, and at war with itself through race riots, assassinations, and the rise of the counterculture. The display features historical accounts, photograph collections, books on the hippie movement, books on the 1968 music scene, and fiction that takes place in 1968. The display is located on the main floor in the periodicals section. If you are interested in looking back 100 years to 1918, check out the Ramsey Center’s display on the end of World War I.
